By Devon Mills
When you listen to a Dre RealA record, you're not just hearing sound — you're stepping into his life, his roots, and everything that shaped him into the man he is today.
That's how he tells it. 'You'll hear my mother's strength, my brother's loyalty, and the struggles my family faced just trying to make it through the days when nothing was promised. Apartment numbers felt like chapters of my childhood. School became a place where I could breathe, think, and temporarily escape the reality waiting outside.'
'Suit & Tie' — out now on Elastic, Apple Music, and Spotify — is the latest chapter. A grown-man project: real-life stories, hustle mentality, family love, smooth fly energy. From motivation to celebration, the album speaks for the underrated, the chosen, and the ones who stayed solid through it all. The lead single 'It's You' is the wave. The rest of the record holds the line.
Dre RealA — born Andre D. Brown — operates out of Savannah, Georgia, and runs an independent catalog deep enough to embarrass major-label rosters. Mixtapes (My Life My Story, It Is Wat It Is Vol. 1 & 2), EPs (My Jungle), and 2025–2026 album-after-album-after-album cadence (GoPro, Sex Machine, Hot Yoga, Give Me Sum Rum). His distribution through Bentley Records, REAL UNIVRS, and UnitedMasters has pushed him past 1.17 million total streams with a playlist reach around 188,000. Muso.ai has him in the top tier of active independent songwriters.
Live, he hits the same way. On April 22, 2026, Dre RealA tore down the Atlanta miniFEST at the Dark Horse Tavern / 10 High Club opening the night alongside Melodious Blue, 7th Try, Nayeli, David Luka, Khaila Jai, Sykamore, and Yanni. Setlist: Underrated, All About The Paper, Covergirl, It's You, Stand Up. Energy unmatched. Crowd rocking. No handouts, no favors — just pressure and performance. Footage embedded below.
Next: April 16 at Orange Crush in Savannah for Crush The Mic - Crush Reloaded. Then back to the lab. The wave is loud, the suit is pressed, and the campaign is live.
